The IBG Group partnered with Otchiva—an organization dedicated to the protection and restoration of mangroves in Angola—to carry out a mangrove planting and environmental cleanup event in Benfica, Luanda, thereby reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and environmental preservation.
The initiative brought together employees, partners, and volunteers for a day dedicated to restoring one of the most important coastal ecosystems. During the event, over 5,000 mangrove seedlings were planted, contributing to biodiversity protection, environmental recovery, and the preservation of this natural habitat.
In addition to the planting activity, a plastic waste collection campaign was conducted in the surrounding area to raise awareness about the importance of reducing pollution and protecting ecosystems.
Otchiva also hosted an awareness session on the role of mangroves in nature conservation in Angola, highlighting the importance of environmental education in engaging the community to protect these ecosystems.
This initiative reflects the importance of collaboration among companies, partners, and local organizations in promoting actions that have a positive impact on the environment and communities.
The IBG Group extends its thanks to all the employees, partners, and volunteers who participated in this event, contributing to a more sustainable future and the preservation of natural heritage.
